For those with students in the musical, please note there is a website (made by two students in grade 6) that gives the schedule for all practices and who's needed at these practices. The address is: http://wrcaseussical.weebly.com/. I also have a schedule posted in my classroom as well.
Last week I taught the students the Math-U-See, and I know some of struggling with the organization of math. The main difference is that the regrouping of the multliplcation is placed just under the question, instead of above. The reason for this is that it allows for all addition to happen together, and gives students a better understanding of the concept. If you have any questions at all regarding how to do the math, PLEASE COME AND SEE ME! I'd love to help you, so you can better help your child at home. My door is always open.
Lastly, as some of you know there are a few families leaving our class community at the end of this school year. I would really love to do something for the students leaving as a memory of their time with us. If any creative minds have an idea of something we could do a momento please let me know.
Thanks for allowing me to teach your brilliant, spunky, and lovable kids!
