I hope you all had a chance to look over your child's unit 22 math test (please note that some students did not complete the test on Friday and will be taking it Wednesday). Overall, it was a good test, with an average mark of 16/20. The main concern I have right now is the class' ability to read the instructions correctly. For many students they incorrectly completed questions that were review in class before taking the test. To help develop this skill I've made math sheets to be completed most mornings this week and next. These sheets are to be completed the class in the morning, marked together, and then sent home for your information. I am not using these sheets for marks, but rather to keep track of the students comfort level with the new topic and ways they need to be supported. To help support and assist your child, please take a moment to review these math sheets and talk through any errors that occur. Another way to support your child right now in math is to encourage your child to practice their multiplication facts. This will really help them at school!
Please check the main foyer for Suessical Musical practices. Your children have been very dedicated! I'm very proud of them!
Mark your calendars....Grandparents Day is May 17th! More details to follow.
